Deer Stalking in Scotland / Hunting in the Scottish Highlands

Red Deer Stalking in ScotlandWe provide some of the finest Red Deer Stalking in the Highlands of Scotland.
Stalking is arranged on local estates, indeed a complete Stalking and Fishing package can be tailor made to suit individual needs.

We are pleased to offer Red Deer Stalking in Scotland over Sporting Estates in Northern Scotland. Red Deer Stalking in Scotland with which the Scottish Highlands are classically associated takes place over a short season in late summer and early autumn. While the legal season lasts from July to mid October, the best is from August to early October. Normally the mating season (or rut) starts around mid September. The rutting stag is a very single-minded chap, and as a result his physical condition deteriorates quickly over the next few weeks.

At the end of the stag season attention turns to stalking hinds. These are usually more numerous, and the managed cull of hinds continues until mid-February. Red deer inhabit hill country that is remote from roads and settlements. There are very few more memorable experiences than being out in a deer forest with the stags roaring at the start of the rut. Few experiences can rival the thrill and sheer exhilaration of stalking the Red Deer across the hills and glens of Sutherland.

We have Stalking available over Estates in the North West Highlands totally some 40,000 Acres, situated amidst some of the most dramatic and spectacular scenery the Highlands have to offer.
